Welcome to Family Day

On behalf of every member of the Azalea City Church of Christ, I would like to personally welcome all to our “Family Day.”  This is a day where we worship together as a family, we will eat together as a family, we will fellowship as a family and we will devote ourselves to our Heavenly Father, as a family.  If you do not yet have a ‘forever family’, won’t you please consider making Azalea City your spiritual home?  We need you and you need us!  It is my prayer that something will be said, sung, or prayed today that will motivate any and all to be a part of God’s special family.  If we can be of assistance to you, please do not hesitate to let us know.  We look forward to spending today and eternity with you!

How’s your Attitude?

One way Webster defines ‘attitude’ is this: “a feeling or emotion toward a fact or state.”  In using this definition, we learn that it is extremely important for us to keep a good positive attitude!  The way we respond to certain events could either encourage or discourage souls in becoming members of Christ’s body.

I love Job’s attitude in Job chapter two.  He has lost all of his livestock, he has lost all of his children, he has even been stricken with painful boils all over his body, and his wife has told him in verse 9, “curse God and die!”  How does Job respond to all of these hardships?  What is his attitude?  Verse 10 says this, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks.  Shall we indeed accept good from God and shall we not accept adversity?  In all of this Job did not sin with his lips.”  WOW! What a great attitude!  Job not only has a wonderful attitude, but he teaches us a powerful lesson.  How is your attitude?  This is a question we must be asking ourselves.  Let us respond to “life’s curve balls” with the same amazing attitude of Job.

I love you, Terry

All about Youth…

Chris’ Corner

When we talk with a close friend, we tell him or her our problems, what we are thinking about and what we’re doing for the day.  God works the same way.  He is willing to listen to our problems and lend a hand to help out.  He knows what we struggle with in our minds and knows he can help us to overcome them.  God also wants to know what we plan to do for the day so that He can be with us and watch over us.  When we pray, we should be communing with God so that you and He can grow closer together.

“Our Father!  Please be with us and guard us.  Help us to know your ways and be closer to you and your son, Jesus Christ.  Help us to come to you when we need help and even when we don’t.  We love you.  In Jesus name, Amen.”

I hope that this summer God will hear our prayers more than ever.
